UPDATE 3/13

Emerge has been taking diligent efforts to ensure both employees and customers are as prepared as possible for the recent COVID-19 concerns. As we move forward in uncharted territory, those concerns have evolved.

To minimize risk, Emerge will be enacting the initial phase of our COVID-19 business continuity plan. This means we will be transitioning on-site visits to virtual appointments unless there is an emergency issue that requires on-site support. We will continue to support our customers as we do today, but will be relying heavily on our remote tools and capabilities.

If you have remote work questions for your business, please reach out to your Sales Representative and we will be available to discuss at your earliest convenience. We are prepared to prioritize and assist your organization in any capacity you may need.

Please take a moment to review the entire Implementation of Mitigation Strategies for Communities with Local COVID-19 communication. In order to do our part to help reduce the spread of this virus, we at Emerge will be reviewing any changes to this communication weekly.

As the Coronavirus (COVID-19) evolves and more cases are discovered across the tri-state region, we want to ensure to our valued customers that, no matter what we collectively face, we will be here for you. By our nature Emerge is ready to keep business as usual; from anywhere.

We have diligently reviewed and tested operational procedures to ensure our service levels for the many Emerge customers that enjoy our Managed & Helpdesk services are protected.

Like most of our customers, you are also beginning to assess the ability to operate amongst possible mitigation strategies. Emerge is prepared to help our customers implement solutions to enable a teleworking strategy and ensure proper cyber security safeguards are in place to protect remote workers.

We have partnered with Cisco Systems, and other OEM’s to understand promotional offers that they are providing to the market regarding teleworking and cyber security solutions.

What About Your Business?

We all see the public and private sector getting ready to pivot to a mitigation strategy on COVID-19. Last week CISCO announced a 90 day free offer of WEBEX to be used for web based meetings.

Your mobile workers and devices are increasingly important to remaining productive. But to be teleworking ready, you need to make sure cyber security is a part of your strategy. When more users are working outside of the firewall, specific measures need to be taken to ensure proper security protection.

Some foundational items to consider:

  • Security Awareness Training
  • Multi Factor Authentication
  • Client Side DNS Layered Security
