In coordination with continued growth and planned expansion in Northern Kentucky, Emerge has attained preliminary approval from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) for the Kentucky Business Investment Program. Emerge has plans to expand to create a total of 60 new jobs, 48 of those are now anticipated to be filled by Kentucky residents. To encourage the investment and job growth in Northern Kentucky, the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) preliminarily approved the company for wage assessment incentives through the Kentucky Business Investment program. The performance-based incentive allows a company to keep a portion of its investment over the term of the agreement through corporate income tax credits and wage assessments by meeting job and investment targets.
"Emerge Technologies has experienced significant success in Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati," said Richard Brown, Managing Partner, Emerge Technologies. "Our strategy for growth is proving successful and we will need to make a significant number of new hires to meet growing demand. We are very pleased with the help we received from Northern Kentucky Tri-ED and the Kentucky Cabinet for Economic Development as we plan our expansion."
"We thank KEDFA for its preliminary approval of the incentives for Emerge Technologies," said Northern Kentucky Tri-ED Chairman and Kenton County Judge-Executive Kris Knochelmann. "Northern Kentucky Tri-ED is actively working to build on our technology sector and help existing companies like Emerge continue to add high paying jobs in the region that can be sourced from students at the Northern Kentucky University College of Informatics and other higher education institutions."
